Novarese!!!!!!!!
As the Italian creater, Aldo Novarese, began his career at a very young age. In 1930 he studied at the Sculoa Artieri Stampatori under Francesco Menyey were he learned woodcut, copper engraving, and lithography. Soon after he finished here he enrolled at the Scuola di Tipographica Paravia, specialist typography school, were he spent the next three years of his life. By the age of 16 he had joined the Nebilolo foundry in Turin as a draftsman. Even though he was a highly educated individual, that still didnt stop him from getting in trouble. In 1939 Novarese was thrown in jail after protesting the war. Due to his medal that he had won in the Ludo Juveniles art competition back a year earlyer, he was spared the severe punishment for his actions in the protest. At the end of the war Novarese went back to Nebilolo and became the art directer there in 1952,later on he was awarded a gold medal at the Milan Trade Fair. As time passed proffessional associations in Italy became more and more fond of Novarese, in 1956, his published typeface classification was highly regarded by many. In 1979 he created the Novarese. It's crisp serifs and destinct Grecian look along with its elegance and readibility made it a favorite for many.
